GPI

Great Plains Industries (GPI) is a manufacturer of fuel, chemical, and oil transfer pumps and meters, and industrial flow meters, with a focus on GPI and GPRO brands specializing in fuel, chemical, and oil transfer solutions.

Great Plains Industries got its start in 1968 when the first small office was opened in Wichita. The 700 sq. ft. building accommodated founder Charlie Peer and his co-founders Ken Rix and Lyle Koontz. Through innovation of fuel transfer product solutions, the company has grown to a 178,000 sq. ft. facility located in northeast Wichita. Great Plains Industries expanded its product offering and global reach in 2013 when it acquired Trimec Industries of Sydney, Australia, and its FLOMEC product portfolio.
